Fleet management for TurtiniOS appliances — the immutable Linux body for the Fabric. Enroll devices, watch greenboot OTA updates, and manage entitlement across your on-prem and air-gapped estate.
Fleet management for TurtiniOS appliances — the immutable Linux body that lets the whole platform run on-prem or fully air-gapped. Enroll devices by role, watch signed OTA updates that roll themselves back on a failed boot, and manage entitlement across your estate from one console.
What's included
Device fleet — enroll appliances by role target (workstation kiosk, server, edge node) with live status and last-seen
Immutable image — bootc / OSTree base carrying a sovereign, Postgres-native Firestore shim so the platform runs on-prem or air-gapped
Greenboot OTA — signed image updates with automatic rollback when a boot fails its health check
Runtime-config injection — per-device configuration delivered without rebuilding the image
Two-segment licensing — connected (metered) vs gov / disconnected (subscription), with a Verified-by-Turtini entitlement credential that verifies offline
About this module
TurtiniOS (the module) lives at /turtinios and is the management plane for Turtini's own operating system: an immutable, bootc / OSTree Linux image carrying a sovereign, Postgres-native Firestore shim, so the platform you run in the cloud can run identically on a box in your building — or on a box with no network at all. This module is where you see and steer that fleet: enroll appliances by their role target (workstation kiosk, server, edge node), each with live status and last-seen.
Updates are the part that usually scares anyone running on-prem, so they are handled the safe way. Greenboot OTA ships signed image updates and automatically rolls a device back the instant a new image fails its boot health check — a bad update cannot strand a device. Per-device runtime configuration is injected without rebuilding the image, so you tune a kiosk or an edge node without a full release cycle.
Entitlement is honest and offline-provable. The two-segment model — connected (metered) versus government / disconnected (subscription) — is carried by a Verified-by-Turtini credential that verifies without phoning home, which is exactly what an air-gapped or classified environment requires. This module manages the estate; the appliances themselves are provisioned separately.
What you can do with it
Enroll TurtiniOS appliances by role — workstation kiosk, server, or edge node — with live status
Watch greenboot OTA updates roll themselves back the moment a boot fails its health check
Push per-device runtime configuration without rebuilding the image
Run the whole platform on-prem or fully air-gapped on a Postgres-native Firestore shim
Manage connected-metered vs gov / disconnected entitlement with an offline-verifiable credential
