About this module
Places You've Been lives at /me/places, in your personal context. It starts from what your account already knows: the hotels, stops and car pickups on your trips, the event tickets that were scanned at the door, and the organization events you were marked as attending. A ticket you bought for a show you never went to does not count, and neither does an airport you only changed planes in.
For everything from before, tap a country or a state on the map and press I've been here, with a date if you remember it. Below the map the list goes from country to state to city, with how many times you have been and when you were first and last there.
There is one more source, and it is off unless you turn it on: the country and state you sign in from each day, worked out from your internet address. It never records the city, every entry is listed so you can delete it, and turning it off erases all of them. Internet location is wrong on phone networks, VPNs and ship satellite links, which is why it stays a choice rather than a default.
Your map is private. You can share it with people you know on Turtini, one at a time, and stop sharing with any of them whenever you like. They see which countries and states are colored, and nothing about how often you went, what the places came from, or the cities, and only see dates if you turn that on.
