About this module
Pay Friends lives at /me/pay in your Personal context, with three tabs: Pay, Request, and Activity. Pay anyone by email, phone, or @handle — no account numbers to swap. Requests let you ask to be paid back, and the Activity feed gives every send, receipt, and request a live status. Send limits run from one dollar to three thousand dollars per payment, and the whole thing is free — zero fee, always — because Turtini is rails, not a bank.
The no-float design is the reason it is safe as well as free. When you pay someone who has not linked a bank yet, the payment simply parks — nothing leaves your account. Turtini invites them to link a bank and claim it, and you are debited only at the moment the money can land in their account. Money only ever moves when it can move all the way through, bank to bank, with no balance sitting in the middle for anyone to hold, lose, or earn on. You link a bank once, securely, and Turtini never sees your bank credentials.
It is the same principle that runs through every money rail on Turtini: the platform is the wiring, not the counterparty. No balance, no float, no per-transaction toll — just a direct, transparent, bank-to-bank path between two people who trust each other. Split the rent, settle up after dinner, or send a family member money, and know that at no point did your money become someone else's float.
