A music platform you own — listen, publish, and pay artists per stream, directly.
A music platform you actually own — listen, publish, and pay artists per stream, directly, with no pooled black box in the middle. Upload your own tracks, EPs, albums, and DJ or creator mixes; listeners play them through a persistent mini-player; and every qualified stream accrues a transparent royalty split by the exact percentages each release's contributors agreed to.
What's included
Creator-owned catalog — upload your own tracks, EPs, albums, and DJ/creator mixes (one rendered file + tracklist); zero external licensing
Persistent player — a Spotify-like mini-player that keeps playing across the whole app
Per-stream royalty ledger — every qualified stream (30s+) accrues earnings, split by each release's contributor percentages
Paid directly, no float, no platform fee — the transparent inverse of a pooled black-box payout (rails-at-cost)
Royalty splits editor — divide a release across artist, producer, featured, label; validated to 100%
Two surfaces, one module: /me/music for the person, /music for the org/label workspace with analytics
Wally publishes a release, sets splits, and reports your earnings
Built for what comes next — the same ledger will accept Apple Music connect + licensed catalogs without changing
About this module
Music has two surfaces on one module: /me/music for the person who listens and publishes their own work, and /music for the org or label workspace with releases, tracks, royalties, and analytics. Phase one is creator-owned and needs zero external licensing — you publish audio you hold the rights to, whether that is a single, an album, or one rendered DJ or creator mix with its tracklist. A Spotify-like mini-player keeps playing as you move around the rest of the platform, so the music does not stop when you leave the page.
The royalty engine is the point. Every qualified stream — thirty seconds or more — accrues earnings against the release, then splits them by each contributor's percentage: artist, producer, featured guest, label. A splits editor lets you divide a release however you agreed, validated to total exactly 100%, so no stream is ever paid out against an incomplete split. Earnings are computed on a transparent, on-rails ledger you can read line by line — the exact inverse of a pooled, opaque, pay-whenever streaming payout.
It is built for what comes next without changing shape. The payout rails run at cost — no float, no platform toll skimmed off an artist's stream — and the same per-stream ledger that pays your own uploads today is designed to accept Apple Music connect and licensed catalogs tomorrow, so the model scales from a single independent artist to a full label without a rebuild. Wally can publish a release, set the splits, and report your earnings on request. You own the distribution and you can see exactly who got paid what.
