About this module

Most festivals run on two half-tools and a spreadsheet: one place takes submissions, another sells tickets, and the moment films are selected everything falls into email threads. Film Festival is one system across that whole line. Filmmakers apply from your own website, and your own rules do the first pass: set a runtime cap, an earliest completion year, or a premiere requirement and an ineligible film is turned away at the form with a message naming the rule it missed. The deadline tier in force sets the entry fee, and it is charged on your own page and settles to your account -- not quoted and then forgotten.

Your jury is real infrastructure, not a shared folder of links. Invite reviewers by email, assign them films, and have them score against criteria you weight yourself. Turn on blind review and the filmmaker's identity is withheld from reviewers by the server, not merely hidden on screen. Every reviewer's progress is visible, so you know whether judging is moving without chasing anyone. Scores are normalized, so your shortlist ranks itself.

Passes, audience voting, and the program all publish to your own site in your own branding. Buyers pay on your page and are never sent somewhere else to check out. Change a price or close submissions once and every public page reflects it immediately.

Already taking submissions somewhere else? Import a FilmFreeway CSV export and the films arrive without retyping. What matters is what does NOT arrive: judge ratings, assigned judges, your own submission notes and flags, screener passwords, discount codes, and every filmmaker's home address, phone number and birthdate are dropped before the file is read -- and the import shows you the list, struck through, so you can check. A submission is not a selection either: nothing reaches a public page without an affirmative one, so importing mid-judging does not publish the pool you are still deciding on. Import again whenever more selections land; films match on their submission ID, so a synopsis you fixed, a blurb you wrote and a poster you added all survive.

The program page can be built now and go live by itself. Set the date, the time and your own timezone, and until that moment the page does not exist to the public: not served, not in your sitemap, not handed to a search engine, not readable directly. At the instant you named, the page your public URL already points at starts showing the lineup -- same URL, so every link you shared beforehand still works.
