About this module
Face Check-In lives at /face-checkin and answers a narrow, high-value question fast: is this the person we already know? A guest enrolls once from their Account — their device turns their face into a mathematical template and saves only that. There is no photo stored and no global face database anywhere on the platform: the template sits in your organization's private gallery, scoped to that guest and that visit, and no other organization can reach it. Enrollment is a one-tap, consented choice, and deleting the data later is an equally one-tap request the guest can make anytime, no reason required.
At the registration desk, a crew member opens Face Check-In, points the camera at the guest, and captures a frame. The template is ranked only against the people enrolled for this organization and visit, and on a confident match the crew see "Register <Name>?" and confirm with a tap — the resolved person is registered into the event through the same registration your team already uses. No confident match simply drops to a candidate list or the normal manual path. A recognition is always a claim your crew confirm, never a silent decision made for them.
The one line Face Check-In will not cross is money. It only ever checks a person in or registers them for something — a free or folio activity — and it never authorizes a payment. That boundary is deliberate and built in: anything that costs money stays on the normal checkout surface, where the person confirms it themselves. Face Check-In makes arrival faster and hands-free; it does not become a wallet.
