About this module
EquipmentOS lives at /equipment and runs a dealership or rental yard end to end, whatever the units are. Your stock carries VIN or serial, spec, cost and price, moderated photos, and a live status — in stock, in transit, sold, on lease, on rent — so you always know where every unit is. It is deliberately not car-specific: the same records handle a sedan on the lot, a box truck for hire, and a skid-steer out on rent.
The service department is first-class. Open work orders with labor and parts lines, assign a technician, and schedule the appointment. Ordering covers both parts orders and unit orders, each supporting inter-location transfers and factory orders tracked all the way through delivery into stock, so a multi-location operation moves inventory without spreadsheets.
Money moves through the platform, not a side channel. Leases generate a payment schedule from the term, residual, and rate; rentals get an availability calendar with checkout, return, and deposits; and buy/sell deals tie a unit to a customer Contact, take a trade-in, and collect payment on the Turtini payment surface.
