Edenred-style employee benefits with the float removed — fund restricted-spend wallets that authorize closed-loop at your own merchants, at cost.
Edenred-style employee benefits, with the float removed. Fund restricted-spend wallets — meal allowances, fleet/fuel cards, gift and incentive balances, corporate AP — that only work at the merchant categories you choose. Spend authorizes closed-loop at Turtini merchants in real time, pays the merchant in full with zero fee, and posts straight to your books.
What's included
Four pillars on one wallet spine: meal & wellness, fleet & fuel, gift & incentive, corporate AP
MCC-locked spend — a wallet only works at the merchant categories you choose
Closed-loop authorize at Turtini merchants: rule checked, balance decremented, merchant paid in full, zero fee
Funding configurable per program — employer fringe, employee pre-tax deduction, or split match
Funding + zero-fee settlement journal entries post themselves to Accounting
Fleet wallets bind to a vehicle and capture the odometer at every fuel swipe
Employees own a portable Verified-by-Turtini benefit-history credential carried between employers
About this module
Allowance lives at /allowance for the employer and /me/allowance for the employee, and it rebuilds the prepaid-benefits business — meal vouchers, fuel cards, incentive cards — on Turtini's own rails. You define a program: pick a pillar (meal, fleet, gift, or corporate AP), a funding model, a per-period budget, and the merchant categories it unlocks via MCC locks. Enroll a worker and the system mints them a benefit wallet they own. The funding model is yours to choose per program: an employer-funded fringe that never touches the employee's take-home pay, a pre-tax payroll deduction in the 401(k)/HSA mold, or a split where you match the employee's contribution. Every dollar funded posts a journal entry to Accounting automatically.
The difference from Edenred is the float. A traditional benefits processor sits between the employer funding the card and the merchant accepting it, and earns on the money resting in between. Turtini already owns the merchants — Retail, Restaurant, the marketplace — so a swipe authorizes closed-loop, in real time, inside a single transaction: the rule is checked, the balance is decremented, and the merchant is paid in full. There is no resting balance to earn on and no per-transaction toll layered on benefit money. The employer draws down its own wallet liability and the merchant is made whole; that is the entire settlement.
And the benefit follows the person. The wallet balance is server-authoritative — no client can self-credit it or spend past its category locks — and the first time a wallet is funded, the employee receives a portable Verified-by-Turtini benefit-history credential they carry between employers. Fleet programs bind a wallet to a vehicle and capture the odometer at every fuel swipe. Pre-tax and split wallets fund automatically from each paycheck; employer-fringe wallets top up on a schedule. Whether you are running a daily meal benefit for an office or a fuel program across a delivery fleet, every rule and every cent is visible on-rails.
What you can do with it
Stand up a daily meal benefit that only works at restaurants, groceries, and transit — funded by you, not deducted from pay
Run a fleet fuel program locked to gas stations, with the odometer captured on every swipe
Match an employee's pre-tax wellness contribution and watch both halves fund straight from payroll
Issue gift and incentive balances that spend closed-loop at your own stores
Watch every funding and settlement entry post itself to Accounting, with the merchant always paid in full and no Turtini fee
