Technology and Oceans are better together

Technology shapes how the world operates.
Oceans shape whether it survives.

At Turtini, we believe the two should work together.

We support federal organizations with modern, open technologies built on Red Hat platforms—designed for clarity, resilience, and long-term stewardship. At the same time, we’re committed to protecting the underwater world that sustains life on this planet.

Turning Values into Action

Our commitment to the oceans isn’t symbolic—it’s built into how we operate.

Through Qarrott, a peer-to-peer recognition platform, Turtini employees can recognize one another’s work and direct those rewards toward causes that matter. When our mascot, Wally, is recognized, those funds are donated to nonprofit organizations working to protect marine ecosystems.

This ensures that everyday excellence at Turtini contributes directly to real-world impact.

Echo Reef: Open Source for Ocean Stewardship

Inspired by Red Hat’s commitment to Open Source, we created Echo Reef—an open source project designed to track marine life and artificial reefs formed from historic shipwrecks.

Echo Reef brings together open data to document how these underwater structures become living habitats for fish, corals, invertebrates, and sea turtles. By making this information accessible, the project supports researchers, divers, and conservationists working to understand and protect ocean ecosystems.

This work is intentionally public, reusable, and community-driven.

Why It Matters

Technology can scale outcomes.
Open systems can invite collaboration.
And when applied thoughtfully, both can help protect what matters most.

That’s the kind of future Turtini is helping build.
