Employment verification letters
An employment verification letter confirms that someone works (or worked) at your org — their title, employment dates, and employment type — on your organization's letterhead. Employees need these for mortgages, apartment applications, visas, and background checks.
Two ways to generate one:
HR generates it for a worker:
1. Go to /workforce → the People tab.
2. Open the worker and click "Verification letter".
3. Confirm the details Turtini pre-fills — title, start date (and end date if separated), employment type (full-time, part-time, contractor).
4. Optionally include compensation (salary or hourly rate). Leave it off for a basic confirmation letter.
5. Generate. The letter renders on your org letterhead — logo and business address at the top — and can be emailed straight to the worker or a third party.
An employee requests their own:
• Any worker can self-request a letter from their Work profile. The same letter generates without needing to ask HR — useful outside business hours.
• Self-service letters cover the requesting employee only; you cannot generate one for someone else.
What every letter carries:
• Your org's letterhead (logo + address) so it reads as official
• Confirmed employment, title, dates, and employment type
• Optional compensation line
• A unique verification code the recipient (a lender or landlord) can use to confirm the letter is genuine and unaltered
The letter is a system-attested document — the verification code proves it came from Turtini and wasn't edited after generation.
