1-on-1 notes — shared agenda, notes, and action items
1-on-1 notes track the recurring manager ↔ employee meeting that's at the heart of good coaching. Both sides collaborate on the agenda and capture follow-ups.
Scheduling a 1-on-1:
1. Workforce → Reviews → 1-on-1 Notes pill → + Schedule 1-on-1
2. Pick the worker and the meeting time
3. Save — the meeting appears in Upcoming for both parties
Before the meeting:
• Either side can add agenda topics — the manager flags coaching items, the employee surfaces wins or blockers
• Each agenda item is tagged with who suggested it
• Tick agenda items as they're discussed
During / after the meeting:
• Manager notes — coaching observations, themes, follow-ups (manager edits, employee can read)
• Worker notes — wins, concerns, things to bring up next time (worker edits, manager can read)
• Action items — concrete commitments with an owner and (optionally) a due date. Tick when complete
Past meetings move to the Recap section so the history is one click away. Open action items roll forward — if something didn't get done last time, it stays visible.
Tip: Ask Wally "what should I prep for my 1-on-1 with [name]?" — the assistant pulls recurring agenda themes, open action items, and what changed since the last meeting.
