Auto-reconciling an expense report from your inbox
Reconciliation reads the receipts already sitting in your email and fills in the actual cost of each expense report line for you — no forwarding, no manual data entry.
Connect a mailbox first:
Settings → Integrations → Expense Mailboxes. Add any inbox you receive receipts in — your personal Gmail and your work mailbox both work. The connection is read-only; reconciliation only ever reads, never sends.
Run it:
1. Open an expense report under Workforce → Expenses.
2. Click "Reconcile from email" and pick a mailbox.
3. For each report line, Turtini searches that mailbox around the line's date, then has Claude read each candidate — the email body and any attached PDF or image folios — to pull out the vendor, total, date, and category.
4. Matches are scored on date, vendor, category, and amount. High- and medium-confidence matches are applied automatically: the line's amount is set, the receipt email and folios are attached as evidence, and you get a summary notification.
5. Low-confidence matches are saved as suggestions on the line for you to confirm or reject.
Every applied match can be undone — open the line and click "Undo match" to revert the amount and detach the evidence. The reconciliation history on the report shows what was matched, when, and from which mailbox.
