Confirmation emails for voyage bookings

Every voyage booking now emails the buyer, and the email carries the terms that were in force when they booked.

Two different emails, because they are two different events:
• Booking request received — sent the moment a visitor submits the booking block on your site. That path takes no payment and the booking arrives unconfirmed, so this email says exactly that: we have your request, no payment has been taken, we will confirm.
• Booking confirmed — sent when a booking actually reaches confirmed. For a multi-day sailing that happens once the deposit is verified as paid.

Each is sent at most once per booking. Both include the confirmation code, the voyage, the vessel, the departure, the party, the per-tier line items with subtotal and total, and the frozen terms.

The cancellation link:
The confirmed-booking email carries a "View or cancel this booking" button. It is the ONLY place that link is ever sent. A booking lookup on your site will not hand one out — it can only ask us to email the link to the address already on the booking — because a six-character confirmation code is a reference, not a password, and must never be enough to trigger a refund. The link is single-use, works for one booking only, and stops working the moment the booking is cancelled by anyone.

Customizing the copy:
Account → Email templates. Look for "Voyage booking confirmation" and "Voyage booking request received". You can override the subject, eyebrow, headline, opening and closing text; the details box, line items, cancellation button and terms block are built from the booking itself.

The terms block comes from the booking, not from your settings:
It renders the copy frozen onto that booking at purchase. Editing your terms afterwards does not change an email already sent, and does not change what a resend would say either.

If nothing arrives:
Sending needs your Resend key configured for the platform. When it is not, nothing is recorded as sent and a later write retries, rather than the booking being marked as mailed when no mail left. A booking with no terms document applying to it still gets its email — just without a terms section.
