Boarding passes — scan passengers aboard a sailing
The Boarding tab gives every passenger on a sailing a QR boarding pass, and lets gate staff scan them aboard at the gangway — so you know exactly who has embarked, in real time.
Prepare boarding passes:
1. Voyages → Boarding → pick the sailing.
2. Prepare boarding passes. This issues a QR pass for every passenger on the manifest (all confirmed bookings).
3. Re-run it any time after new bookings come in — passes already issued are kept, only the new passengers get one.
The summary shows three live numbers: Manifest (passengers booked), Passes prepared, and Aboard (scanned in so far).
Board passengers:
• Open the scanner on a phone (the "Open scanner ↗" link, at /m/scan) and pick the gangway as the checkpoint.
• Point the phone camera at a passenger's pass QR, or type the code. ADMIT / DENY is decided on the server.
• Boarding passes are single-use and gated to the boarding window — they open shortly before departure and close at arrival, so an old pass can't be reused on a later sailing.
Instant manifest reconciliation:
"Aboard" comes straight from the scan trail — as people board, the count climbs and each pass shows an Aboard badge. No clipboard, no manual headcount. Revoke a pass (Show QR → Revoke) to stop it working immediately.
Pairs with Fleet — crew use the same scanner via Fleet ▸ Checkpoints, and it's the same access engine that powers Flow tickets, so capacity and time windows are enforced consistently.
