Wally tools for vendor compliance
Wally can answer compliance questions in plain English. Three tools sit on top of the Vendor Compliance Registry:
**Look up a vendor by EIN** (`vendor_lookupByEin`)
Ask Wally:
• "Is John's Electric verified? Their EIN is 12-3456789."
• "Do we have an active COI for the plumber we used last month?"
• "What's the compliance status of the contractor on this work order?"
Wally returns the canonical vendor name, public-record verification (license, EIN reg), your org's consent status, and how many docs are visible to you.
**List expiring vendors** (`vendor_listExpiring30d`)
Ask Wally:
• "Which vendors are about to lapse?"
• "Whose COI is expiring in the next month?"
• "Are any of our contractors out of compliance for next week's job?"
Returns vendors (Contacts in your active org with an EIN saved) that have at least one compliance doc expiring within 30 days, with the kind and exact expiration date.
**Request compliance update** (`vendor_requestComplianceUpdate`)
Ask Wally:
• "Ask the HVAC guy for his updated insurance certificate."
• "Send a compliance request to every vendor whose COI is expiring soon."
Wally drafts the consent request and shows it to you as an action card. You approve "Do it" and the vendor gets a Turtini inbox notification + email asking them to upload the renewed doc.
When does Wally fire these tools automatically: anytime the question can be answered from the vendor card. If you ask "is X verified?" Wally walks you through the Vendor Compliance card you'd see in the Accounting tab AND offers the action card. If you'd rather check it manually, ignore the card.
Pricing: lookups are free (registry reads). State license verification, when triggered against a contractor that isn't yet in the registry, charges the underlying provider cost + 15% — typically under $1.
