Browse privately with an incognito window

An incognito window is for browsing that leaves nothing behind — nothing is saved to this Mac or to your Turtini account.

To open one:
1. Choose File > New Incognito Window, or press Command-Shift-N.
2. A private window opens with a clear badge so you always know which windows are private.

What's different in an incognito window:
- No history is written — the pages you visit never touch your account or this device.
- Your saved passwords and cards stay out of it. A private window won't autofill from your vault, and won't save a new password or card to it.
- Its tabs live only in memory. When you close the window, they're gone — nothing is offered to restore later.

Everything else works normally: the safety shield still blocks trackers and ads, and downloads are still scanned. Incognito is about not keeping a record, not about turning off protection.
