Live flight status tracking

Every flight on a trip is tracked in real time — gate, status, delay minutes, and arrival info update automatically so you don't have to check the airline app.

How it works:
• A 15-minute cron polls each upcoming flight against an aviation status API
• Updates flight status (Scheduled / Boarding / Departed / Delayed / Cancelled / Arrived)
• Updates departure and arrival gates (often change last-minute)
• Updates delay minutes if schedule slips
• Notifies you in-product if status changes significantly (>30 min delay, gate change in last hour, cancellation)

Where you see it:
• Trips → open trip → flight cards show live status with color coding (green = on time, amber = delay, red = cancelled)
• Today's Agenda widget on the home page shows your next-up flight with current gate
• Travel Profile shows all upcoming flights consolidated

What you do when something changes:
• Delay > 90 minutes — Wally surfaces an Insight: "Want me to look at alternative flights?" with action card to search same-day options
• Cancellation — Wally surfaces alternative flights AND offers to email the airline asking for a rebook
• Gate change — silent update on the card (notification only if you're within 90 minutes of departure)

External tracking links:
• Each flight card has links to FlightAware, FlightRadar24, and the airline's own tracking
• Useful when you're meeting someone at the airport and want maximum-detail status

Limits:
• Smaller carriers (regional, charter) may have stale data — the airline isn't in the aviation API feed
• International flights with code-share segments — the operating carrier's data is what's tracked
• Status doesn't continue after Arrived — once you've landed, the flight goes static

Tracking flights for someone else:
• Add a flight to a trip with someone else listed as the passenger (Trips → flight → Passenger field)
• You see live status on your trip even if you're not flying — useful when picking someone up
