Webinar mode & promoting guests to speak
Webinar mode turns a Stage meeting into a one-to-many broadcast: a small set of speakers presents, and everyone else watches. It's ideal for town halls, services, training sessions, and product launches — and it's completely separate from regular meetings, so your everyday calls are unaffected.
Start a webinar:
• On the Stage start screen, check "Webinar — guests watch only; promote them to speak".
• Guests who join land in the audience: no camera prompt, no tile of their own. They see a banner — "Watch-only — you're in the audience. Raise your hand to ask to speak." — and the speakers up front.
Bring someone up to speak:
• Open the People panel. Each audience member has a "Bring up" button — tap it and they become a speaker with camera and mic. Their join is handled cleanly behind the scenes.
• To send a speaker back to the audience, tap "Make viewer".
Know your crowd:
• The status bar shows the live count both ways, for example "12 in the meeting · 480 watching", so you always know how big your audience is. Demoting someone updates the count rather than making it look like they left.
Raise-hand still works:
• Audience members can raise a hand to ask to speak — you'll see it in the People panel and can bring them up with one tap, then make them a viewer again when they're done.
