Walkie-Talkie — push-to-talk channels for your team

Walkie-Talkie turns Stage into an always-on team radio. Instead of scheduling a meeting, you **tune into a channel** and **push-to-talk** — pop in your AirPods and you're on the air. It's perfect for a front desk, a dispatch crew, housekeeping, or anyone who needs to reach the team hands-free.

Find it at **Walkie-Talkie** in the menu, or from the Stage page.

Tune in:
• Open Walkie-Talkie and tap a channel — that's it. You're now listening. Your mic stays **off** until you push to talk, so tuning in never broadcasts your background noise.
• Channels can be **org-wide** (everyone in the organization) or scoped to a **team / space** (just that group).

Push to talk:
• **Hold** the big button to talk; **release** to go back to listening. On a computer you can also hold the **Space bar**.
• While you're transmitting the button glows green and shows "On air." Everyone tuned in hears you live.
• The "Tuned in" list shows who's on the channel and lights up whoever is currently talking.

Create a channel (owners & admins):
• On the Walkie-Talkie page, use **+ New channel**. Give it a name and an icon, then choose the audience — **Whole org** or **a team / space** you belong to.
• Channels are persistent — they stay live forever, so the team can always tune in. There's nothing to start or end.
• Use **Manage channels** to archive one you no longer need.

Good to know:
• Walkie-Talkie is **audio-only** — there's no camera and no video tiles, so it's light on battery and bandwidth.
• Only people in your organization can tune in (team channels are limited to members of that space). Guests can't join a channel.
• It runs on the same secure Stage audio backbone as meetings and calls.
