Host controls & the waiting room
If you started the meeting (or you're an admin/owner of the owning org) you're the host, and the People panel gives you moderation controls. Tap the People icon to open it.
Waiting room (knock to enter):
• Turn it on when you start a meeting ("Waiting room — guests knock, you admit them") or flip it any time from the People panel.
• While it's on, guests land in a lobby and see "Waiting for the host to let you in." You'll see them under "Waiting" with a count badge on the People icon — tap Admit or Deny. Admitted people join automatically.
In-meeting controls (host only):
• Mute all — silences everyone but you in one tap.
• Per-person Mute and Remove — next to each participant.
• Lock meeting — blocks any new non-admitted person from joining. Anyone already admitted can still reconnect.
Guests see the roster too, but the action buttons only appear for the host. All host actions are enforced on the server, so they can't be spoofed by a participant.
Leaving vs. ending the meeting:
• Tap Leave in the control bar. If you're a regular participant, you leave right away and the meeting keeps going.
• If you're the host, Leave opens a small choice instead: End for all — ends the meeting for everyone — or Just leave, keep the call running — you step out but the others carry on. (Tapping Leave again also just leaves.) This way you never end everyone's meeting by accident when you only meant to drop off.
Host extras button:
The host-only extras button in the control bar only appears when there's something in it — for example Go live (broadcast) or Spotlight record on a meeting bound to a record. On a plain meeting it's hidden, so the bar stays uncluttered.
