Status subscribers — email notifications

Subscribers are anyone who's opted in to receive email updates from your status page. They get an email when an incident is posted, on every stage update, and when scheduled maintenance starts or ends.

How a customer subscribes:
1. They visit your public status page
2. Click "Subscribe to Updates"
3. Enter their email
4. Receive a confirmation email with a click-link (double opt-in for GDPR / anti-spam compliance)
5. Click confirms — they're now subscribed

What subscribers receive:
• New incident announcement — with title, severity, affected components, first message
• Each subsequent update on that incident (Identified, Monitoring, Resolved)
• Postmortem notification when posted
• Scheduled maintenance announcement (immediate + 1-hour-before reminder)
• Maintenance start/end events
• Component status change emails are NOT sent (would be too noisy) — only incidents and maintenance trigger sends

Managing subscribers:
• Status → Subscribers tab — list of all confirmed subscribers with their email + confirmed-at date
• Filter by component — useful when migrating off an old service to message only relevant subscribers
• Bulk unsubscribe — for cleanup or if you're shutting down a component

Unsubscribe flow:
• Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer
• Clicking writes to the suppression list — they won't receive future status emails even if they re-subscribe accidentally
• Permanent — subscribers must use a different email to re-subscribe

Privacy:
• Email addresses are private to org admins — not visible in the public page
• Stored encrypted at rest
• GDPR data-export request: admin can export the subscriber list for an individual via Status → Subscribers → Export CSV
