Season Packages — sell season subscriptions over your events

Season Packages sells arts season subscriptions over the events you already run — the season-ticket model for theaters, orchestras, opera companies, and any performing-arts org. It is a sub-module of Events: you need Events turned on first, then you turn Season Packages on from the module directory.

Fixed and flex packages:

Build two kinds of package over your season's events. A fixed package is a set list of performances a subscriber gets. A flex package is choose-N — the subscriber picks their own N performances from the season. Both are sold as one subscription.

Retained seats:

Subscribers keep the same seats year to year. Retained seats are held for the subscriber and carry across seasons, so a loyal patron's seat is theirs — you are not reselling it out from under them each renewal.

The renewal engine:

Renewals run on an engine built around retained seats: it holds each subscriber's seats, then releases them if the subscriber doesn't renew, and handles prorated refunds. The hold-then-release flow is what lets you honor loyalty without permanently freezing inventory a subscriber walked away from.

Self-serve checkout:

Subscribers buy and renew through a self-serve checkout — they choose their package, keep or change their seats, and pay, without a box-office staffer working every transaction by hand.

Why it is a sub-module:

Because the packages are built over your actual events and seats, Season Packages requires Events. Turn Events on, then enable Season Packages from the directory, and your season becomes something patrons can subscribe to rather than buying one show at a time.
