Roam — see what’s open around you and walk there

Roam is Beacon pointed at the ground: discover the places around you — restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, attractions, lodging — anywhere in the world, then save them into Turtini. Activate it in Personal Modules (Account → Modules) and open /me/roam.

It has three tabs: Nearby, AR, and Saved.

Nearby:
• Tap "Use my location" once (your position is only requested here, never on app load). A map centers on you with a coloured pin for every place. Filter by category (Food, Coffee, Bars, Shopping, Attractions, Lodging), flip on "Open now" to hide anything closed, and choose a radius (Close / Nearby / Wider). The "Nearest" list below is sorted by distance — tap any place for its full card.

AR:
• Point your phone and pan around. Places appear pinned to their real compass bearing with name + distance, so you can spot the restaurant across the street through your camera. Tap a label to open its card. If the compass reads a little off, nudge it with the North buttons.

Saved:
• Every place you save lands here with your private rating and notes, and a one-tap Walk button.

How it works: places come from Google's worldwide places graph (proxied through Turtini so no keys touch your browser). Per Google's terms Roam keeps only the place id long-term and fetches photos and details live, showing Google attribution. See the related articles for saving, notes, trips, and directions.
