Physical and cycle counts
Counts let you reconcile what's actually on the shelf against what Turtini thinks you have — the cure for drift, shrinkage, and miscounts.
To run a count:
1. Go to Retail → Inventory → Counts
2. Click "+ New count"
3. Give it a name (e.g. "Cycle count — Apparel") and choose a scope: all tracked products, or a single category for a quick cycle count
4. Click "Start count" — Turtini snapshots the current expected quantity for every product in scope
To enter and finalize:
1. Walk the floor and type the counted quantity into each row — the variance (counted minus expected) shows live, green for over and red for short
2. Click "Save progress" any time to come back later
3. When you're done, click "Finalize & apply"
Finalizing sets each product's on-hand stock to the counted number and records the net variance on the count session, so you have an audit trail of exactly what changed and when. A count you no longer want can be discarded with "Cancel count" — that leaves stock untouched.
