Confirming online orders (and the alert if nobody does)
Every order a customer places online lands on your Kitchen display the moment it arrives. That display is the source of truth — nothing else has to work for the order to exist.
What needs confirming:
An online order shows an orange "Needs confirming" marker until somebody here has seen it. Tap "Confirm order" on the ticket, or just start working on it — firing a course, bumping an item, or pressing Start Cooking all count as confirmation, so a cook who has already started the food never has to tap anything extra. The ticket then shows who confirmed it.
If nobody confirms it in 10 minutes:
Turtini sends a text AND an email to the store. The marker on the ticket turns red and reads "Not confirmed". You will get that alert once per order and never again — confirming the ticket stops it, and an order you have already started never triggers it in the first place.
We do not phone you.
Where the alert goes:
Settings → Order alerts. Set a mobile number and an email address for whoever should be interrupted. If you leave them blank we use the restaurant's own phone number and your organization's support email. You can switch the alert off per location, but we recommend leaving it on — the failure it catches is a customer standing at your counter for an order the kitchen never saw.
Orders your own staff key in at the till are not included. The server who typed it already knows it exists, and alerting on those would bury the ones that matter.
