Pay at Table — overview and setup

Pay at Table is the Sunday-style guest-side flow that lets a diner scan a QR on the table, see their live bill, split it with the rest of the party, tip, and pay from their phone — all without downloading an app and without waiting for the server to drop the check.

How it works for the guest:
1. They scan the QR sticker on the table — it opens /t/<short code> in their browser
2. If their server has already opened a check at the table, they jump straight to the bill view
3. If no check is open yet, they see "Browse Menu" and can order from their phone (the table's existing online-ordering flow)
4. On the bill view they pick a tip, choose "I've got the whole check" or "Split evenly", and tap Apple Pay / Google Pay / Card
5. After a successful payment, they get a one-tap "Leave a Google Review" button (if you've added the link in Settings)

One scan, one place — pay, order more, split, tip, review, all from the same page.

Turning it on:
1. Go to Food & Beverage → Settings
2. Under "Online Ordering" pick "Table QR Codes" (dine-in only)
3. Under "Pay at Table", paste your Google Business Profile review link (optional, but recommended)
4. Save both sections

Why pick "Table QR Codes" vs the other ordering modes?
• Table QR — each table gets its own permanent QR sticker; guests scan → see the live check / order from menu. This is what Pay at Table requires.
• Table Number — guest types the number printed on the table; works without a QR sticker but loses the live-check link
• Session Code — server generates a 4-digit code per seating; higher staff friction, no permanent QR
• Disabled — menu is view-only; no Pay at Table flow

Getting your Google review link:
1. Go to your Google Business Profile (business.google.com)
2. Click "Get more reviews" → "Share review form"
3. Copy the short URL (looks like https://g.page/r/.../review)
4. Paste it into Food & Beverage → Settings → Pay at Table → "Google review link"

When the guest taps "Leave a Google Review" after a positive meal rating, they jump straight to that prefilled review form. If you leave the field blank, the review button just doesn't appear.

What guests see vs what staff see:
• Guests see a polished mobile bill with split-evenly + tip + Apple Pay
• Staff still see the same Floor Plan, KDS, and Orders tabs — Pay at Table doesn't change their workflow
• Settled checks free the table automatically (status flips back to Available)

What if someone in the party pays cash at the counter?
The cumulative-paid running total only counts payments processed through the Pay at Table flow. Cash payments still close the check the normal way from the Orders tab. The guest-side "Already paid by others" line only reflects in-app payments.
