Building and managing your menu
The Menu tab is where you build the dishes and drinks your customers can order.
Menu categories:
Create categories to organize your menu (e.g., Appetizers, Entrées, Beverages, Desserts). Categories sort by the order you add them.
Menu items:
Each item has a name, price, description, dietary tags (vegan, gluten-free, etc.), and allergen info. You can also assign a photo — the image goes through Turtini's moderation pipeline before appearing on customer-facing screens.
86'ing an item:
Toggle "Available" off on any item to instantly remove it from ordering and the floor plan. The item stays in your menu but is hidden from customers until you re-enable it.
Contains alcohol flag:
Check "Contains alcohol (ID check required)" on any beverage or dish that contains alcohol. When a server adds an alcoholic item to an order, the system requires them to confirm they checked the guest's ID before the order can be sent to the kitchen.
AI Menu Import (Settings tab):
If you already have a menu as text (pasted from a PDF, website, or document), the AI Import tool in the Settings tab can parse it into structured categories and items automatically. Review and adjust prices before saving.
