Automatic lease termination agreements
When you end a lease, Turtini generates the paperwork for you. Marking a lease terminated produces a Lease Termination Agreement automatically — no template to fill in by hand.
What happens when you mark a lease terminated:
1. Turtini generates a Lease Termination Agreement on your org letterhead (logo + address), pulling the tenant, unit, term, and termination date from the lease.
2. The agreement is sent to the tenant for e-signature through the platform's document-signature engine — the same engine leases and contracts already use.
3. Once the tenant signs, the signed copy lands permanently in the tenant's own account, under their /me documents. They keep it for life, even after they move on.
Why this matters:
• You get a signed, dated termination record without drafting anything.
• The tenant always has their own copy — you are not the custodian of their document.
• The agreement carries the same audit trail as any signed Turtini document, so the termination date and signature can't be disputed after the fact.
Where to do it:
• Open the lease at /property?tab=rentals and set its status to terminated. The agreement and signature request fire from there.
