Turtini

Your race record follows you, not the race

Every race you finish on Turtini is recorded on **your own account**, not inside the event that hosted it.

**Why that is different.** On most registration platforms a result lives in that race's records. Next year's different race keeps its own, and a few years in your own history is scattered across half a dozen accounts you no longer have logins for. Here it is one record: every finish, every distance, every year, in one place you control.

**What that means in practice.** If an organization stops using Turtini, or changes platform, or the race simply does not happen again, your results are unaffected. They were never the race's to keep.

**Personal records use chip time.** Chip time runs from the moment you crossed the start mat; gun time runs from the start signal. In a big field those differ by minutes you did not spend running, so your PRs use chip time. Published placings use gun time, because that is the race everyone ran together.

**A record needs a certified course.** If a race tells us its course is not certified, your finish still counts toward your distance total and appears in your history, but it will not set a personal record. A short course is a real thing that happens, and a record table that quietly absorbed one would be worth less than one that says why it did not.
