Getting results in from your timing company
Your timing company posts finishes to Turtini as runners cross, and results publish as they land.
How to set it up:
1. Open the race and find **Timing**.
2. Copy the race's ingest key and give it to your timing company.
3. They point their exporter at the race. Nothing else is needed from you.
**The key is for one race only.** A key from last year's event cannot post into this one, and a timing company working for several of your races gets a separate key for each.
**Re-posting is safe.** Exporters re-send constantly — a mat loses its connection and replays the morning, or an operator fixes one runner's time and the whole file goes again. A finish that arrives twice replaces the first rather than adding a second, and nobody's totals are counted twice. A corrected time does update a personal record, because the time changed even though the run did not.
**Bibs we do not recognise are reported, not dropped.** If a finish arrives for a bib with no entry, it appears in the ingest report rather than disappearing. It is usually a mat reading a bib from another race sharing the course, and you want to know rather than find a hole in your results.
