Logging and escalating violations

The Violations tab is a board-internal workflow for tracking covenant violations from first sighting through cure or fine. Residents never see this tab.

Log a violation:
Choose the unit, a type (trash/bins, parking, landscaping, exterior, pets, noise, signage, other), a description, and optional photo evidence. It's saved as Open, stamped with the board member who reported it.

Escalate through the steps:
• Issue cure notice — set a cure deadline (default 14 days) and Turtini generates a branded cure-notice letter and emails the owner (from your org's branded sender). Status becomes Notice Sent.
• Automatic escalation — a daily job checks cure deadlines; once one passes, the violation flips to Escalated and is flagged for manager attention.
• Post fine — enter a fine amount and Turtini posts it to the owner's dues ledger as a violation-fine charge. Status becomes Fined.
• Mark cured / closed — resolve it and it leaves the active view.

Each status shows only the actions that make sense for it. Board-only; requires the Property Operations module.
