Notes and files per unit
Org admins and board members can attach notes and files to a specific unit from the unit detail panel (Properties tab → click a unit). Use it for the things you don't want sitting in the resident-visible documents area:
• Access codes, lockbox combos, gate fobs
• Vendor contact lists for that unit
• Before/after maintenance photos
• Inspection notes that belong to ops, not to the resident
• Move-out walkthrough findings
How it works:
- Notes save inline as you type — visible to anyone with org membership or board role.
- Files: drag-and-drop directly onto the panel, or click Upload. 50MB cap per file. Images flow through the platform image-moderation pipeline and stay marked as "under review" until SafeSearch passes.
- Removing a note or file requires explicit confirmation; deletes are not soft-deletes.
What residents see:
**Nothing.** This data is intentionally separated from the customer portal. Resident-visible documents continue to live on the org's Documents tab with the "visible to residents" flag — that's the right place for HOA bylaws, parking permits, and board announcements. Unit notes/files are for internal ops only.
