Publish your first printable file

A listing is one thing somebody can print: a title, a summary, the model files, some photographs of the finished object, and the settings you actually used.

To publish one:
1. Open Printables (/printables) and press New listing.
2. Give it a title and a one-line summary. The editor saves itself as you type -- the pill beside the New listing button says Saving, Unsaved changes, or Saved with a time, so you never have to press anything to keep your work.
3. Choose a license. This is the sentence buyers read before they pay, so pick it deliberately -- see "Choose the right license for a printable".
4. Set a price in cents. Zero makes the listing free. Money settles to your own merchant account, not to Turtini.
5. Press Add file and upload your model. STL, 3MF, STEP, OBJ and G-code are accepted, as is a zip of them, up to 250 MB each. Add as many as the design needs -- an STL to print, a STEP for people who want to modify it, a G-code for the printer you tested on.
6. Add photos of the printed object. These are public; the model files are not.
7. Fill in the material, layer height, infill and whether it needs supports. This is the part that makes somebody's first print work instead of failing.
8. Press Publish.

Publish refuses until the listing has a title, a summary, a license and at least one file. The reasons are listed under the Publish button, so you can see exactly what is missing.

Your public shelf is at /printables/<your org id>, and that link is shareable -- somebody can browse it without an account.
