Color cursor — caret, click ripple, hover halo
Color cursor is an opt-in cursor enhancement that ties subtle visual cues — the input caret, click ripple, and hover halo — to your active mood's colour palette.
What it does:
• Caret — when you focus an input, the blinking cursor cycles through your mood's gradient colours
• Click ripple — every click anywhere on the page emits a brief expanding ring tinted from the mood
• Hover halo — buttons and links get a soft glow on hover that pulls from the mood
Subtle by default:
The animations are deliberately understated — Disney's "delight in the ordinary" not "theme-park staging." You feel the platform is alive without it ever distracting from the work.
Turning it on:
1. Settings → Preferences → Appearance section
2. Find "Color cursor" toggle
3. Switch on
Or set it during onboarding:
First-run users see the option on /setup/appearance — the new "Make it yours" step that runs between MFA setup and the migration step. Pick a mood, toggle the cursor, set theme — three taps and the platform feels yours.
Default fallback:
If you haven't activated any mood yet, the cursor uses Turtini's default accent palette (reef teal). Activate any mood from the marketplace to take over the palette.
Turn off any time:
Same toggle, switch off. No state to migrate, no preferences to clear.
