POS hardware — choosing and ordering a card reader

Turtini's point-of-sale runs across Retail, Food & Beverage, Lodging, and Events. You can take card payments with dedicated hardware, a supported phone, or a device you already own — the Devices tab is where you choose and order.

The hardware options:
• Stripe Reader S700 — an all-in-one countertop or handheld reader with its own screen; best for a full checkout station
• BBPOS WisePOS E — a lower-cost all-in-one for a fixed front counter
• Stripe Reader M2 — a handheld reader that pairs to a phone or tablet
• Tap to Pay on your own phone — no hardware; take contactless taps on a supported phone
• Bring your own device — run the Turtini POS on a tablet or phone you already have

The last two require no purchase — you can start taking payments today with a supported phone or an existing tablet.

Ordering a reader:
1. Open the Devices tab in your commerce module (Retail, Restaurant, Lodging, or Events)
2. Review the catalog and prices
3. Place an order for the reader you want — it is created with status "ordered"
4. Complete payment for the hardware in the Devices tab

Pairing:
A purchased reader pairs to your account from the module's settings; once paired, "Card reader" appears as a payment option at checkout alongside tap-to-pay and manual entry.
