Linking accounting entries to a project

Posted journal entries from the Accounting module can be tagged to a project so their debit total rolls into the project's Budget tab as actual spend — no manual re-keying.

How to tag:
1. Open the project's Budget tab
2. Find the "From Accounting" section
3. Click "+ Tag a journal entry"
4. Search by entry number or description; click "Tag" on the matching entry

Tagged entries appear in the From Accounting section with their date, entry number, description, and debit total. The project's Overview, Budget remaining, and burn percentage all pick up the new actuals automatically.

Untagging:
• Click "Untag" next to any tagged entry to remove the link. The JE stays in Accounting; the project just stops counting it.

What's eligible:
• Posted entries only. Drafts don't show in the picker because their amounts haven't stabilised.
• Entries already tagged to another project don't appear (avoids surprise re-routing); untag them from the other project first.

Permissions:
• Org editors can tag/untag any entry — even posted ones — because tagging is metadata and doesn't move the audit-log needle.
• Edits to amounts, lines, or status still follow the standard accounting rules.

Wally can do it too: "Tag JE-000042 to the Headquarters Renovation project" — confirm-first action card.
