Scan the quote you send the customer, and get your reps

A deal has two quotes on it: the one that came IN from the distributor or OEM (your cost) and the one that goes OUT to the customer (your revenue). Both can be read straight off the file — including a quote you already attached to the opportunity.

Scan a quote that is already on the deal:
1. Open the opportunity and scroll to Attachments
2. Any PDF or image attachment has a "Scan quote" button — click it
3. Turtini reads the file and asks which quote it is. It prefills the answer from who issued the document; confirm or change it
4. Review what will be saved — the panel spells out exactly which fields change ("Saves cost $12,000 · customer amount unchanged")
5. Click "Apply to opportunity"

What it writes:
• Our quote to the customer → Amount of Quote. Cost is left exactly as it was
• Cost quote from a distributor or OEM → Cost Quote. Amount of Quote is only touched if you set a markup
• Blank contract fields (contract vehicle, solicitation #, OEM contract and account #, period of performance) are filled in — anything you already entered is never overwritten

Why both sides matter:
Gross profit is Amount of Quote minus Cost Quote. With only the cost side captured, the pipeline is reporting a cost as if it were revenue. Until both are on the deal, the opportunity marks its gross profit as provisional and says which quote is missing.

Getting the reps:
Every scan also looks for the people behind the deal. Turtini finds the OEM on the quote (say Red Hat) in your Contacts, narrows to the rep whose territory matches this customer (say USDA), and does the same for the distributor's segment rep (say the civilian rep at Carahsoft).
• Matches are best-effort and always shown with their reasoning and a confidence — strong, likely, or weak
• A strong or likely match is pre-selected; a weak one is offered but never chosen for you
• The reps are attached by reference to their Contact records, so their details stay in Contacts and never get copied onto the deal
• Nothing matches if the OEM or distributor is not an Account in your CRM yet — add the account, add their reps as Contacts with their territory in the title, team, or notes, and the next scan will find them

The preferred-pricing prompt:
Once reps are attached, the opportunity shows a prompt to reach out about preferred pricing, and the same nudge appears in Wally's Next tab. Preferred pricing is approved rep by rep and has to happen before the customer quote goes out — that conversation is usually the difference on a deal like this. Use "Draft the ask" to have Wally write the outreach, mark "I reached out" once you have, or "Not on this deal" to stop the reminder.
