Programs registry — track each initiative
Programs is the registry of every initiative your org runs — a youth mentorship program, a food bank, a scholarship fund, an advocacy campaign. Each program has its own lifetime stats and rolls up into the Impact Report.
For each program:
• Name, description, year started, mission tag
• Hours invested (auto-summed from Workforce time entries tagged to this program)
• People served (manual updates with timestamped audit trail)
• Funds raised (auto-summed from donations tagged to this program)
• Funds disbursed (for grant-making programs — auto-summed from awards)
• Volunteers (count of unique Workforce / Contact records who logged hours)
Program tagging:
Anywhere you'd attribute work to a specific program — Workforce time entries, Donation records, Gala pledges, Event proceeds — there's a program picker. Tag once, see it roll up everywhere.
Restricted vs unrestricted:
Each program flag determines whether donations to that program are restricted (must be spent on that program per donor intent) or unrestricted. Accounting respects the flag automatically when posting donation receipts.
Impact Report inclusion:
Every program with activity in the report's time window appears in the Programs section of the Impact Report. Wally picks 2–3 programs to feature with deeper narrative based on volume and relevance.
