Publishing a release and setting royalty splits

To publish:

1. Open the **My Releases** tab (personal) or **Releases** tab (org/label) and click **+ New Release**.
2. Give it a title, pick a type (single, EP, album, mix, or DJ set), set visibility (public / unlisted / private), and an optional genre.
3. Click **Manage** on the new release → **Add audio** to upload the track file (for a mix, that's the single rendered mix file). Add a **cover** image — cover art runs through the platform image-moderation pipeline before it's shown publicly.
4. Open **Royalty splits** and divide the release across contributors — artist, producer, featured, label. Shares must total 100%. The owner's own row pays to their real account; named collaborators are recorded by name in this phase.

From then on, every qualified stream of that release accrues earnings split by exactly those percentages, paid directly with no platform fee.

Note: audio files themselves don't yet pass through a content-moderation pipeline (that's a planned addition); cover images do.
