Subscribing to a paid module

Some modules in the Marketplace are free; others charge a monthly subscription set by the seller. The flow is the same as activating a free module right up until checkout.

Spotting a paid module:
The module card shows a price badge — e.g. "$29 / month" — instead of just an Activate button. Click the card to see the full description, what it includes, and the seller's name + verified badge if applicable.

Subscribing:
1. Go to /marketplace and find the module.
2. Click "Subscribe — $XX / month" (org owners and admins only).
3. You're sent to Stripe Checkout. Pay with any card Stripe supports.
4. On successful payment, you're redirected back to the Marketplace and the module flips to "Installed" immediately. Navigation links appear for everyone in the org.
5. If payment fails or you abandon checkout, no charges are made and the module stays inactive.

What you're billed for:
• A flat monthly subscription per org — not per seat or per user. Every member of your org gets access for the same price.
• The first charge runs immediately at subscribe time. Subsequent charges run on the same day each month.
• Subscription totals (active paid modules + the platform's pay-as-you-go usage) appear on the same monthly Turtini invoice. There's no separate seller invoice — Turtini collects on behalf of the seller and pays them out monthly.

Cancelling:
Subscriptions cancel at the end of the current billing period — see "Cancelling a paid module subscription" for the exact flow.

Failed payments:
If a renewal charge fails (expired card, insufficient funds), Stripe retries on its standard schedule (3 attempts over ~10 days). During retries the module stays active. If all retries fail, the module flips to "pending payment" — admins see a banner with a "Update payment method" link. After 14 days of "pending payment" with no resolution, the module deactivates; data is preserved and reactivating restores access.

Sales tax:
If you're in a jurisdiction Stripe Tax covers and the seller has tax collection enabled, sales tax is added at checkout and itemized on the invoice. Tax is not pro-rated — it's calculated per renewal.

Trial and refund policy:
Trials are at the seller's discretion — if a module offers one, the card shows "X days free, then $YY / month". Refunds for paid modules go through the seller, not Turtini. The seller's contact email is on the module's Marketplace page.

Where to see what you're paying for:
Settings → Modules shows every active module. Paid modules show the monthly price and the next renewal date. Click "Manage subscription" on any paid module to open the cancellation / payment-method flow.
