Activating and deactivating modules

Org admins and owners can activate or deactivate any module from the Marketplace.

If you are not signed in, module cards show a "Sign in to manage" button that takes you to the login page.

To activate a module (org admin or owner):
1. Go to /marketplace
2. Find the module you want
3. Click "Activate for [Org Name]" — the button turns green and shows "Installed" immediately

To deactivate a module:
1. Find the installed module (it has a green "Installed" border and button)
2. Hover over the "Installed" button — it turns red and shows "Remove"
3. Click to deactivate

Changes take effect immediately for all org members. Navigation links for deactivated modules disappear automatically.

Note: Deactivating a module hides the feature and its navigation — it does not delete any data. Reactivating the module restores full access to existing records.

You can also turn modules on or off without the Marketplace UI: ask Wally ("turn on Lodging", "disable Payroll") and confirm the preview, or run "module enable <key>" / "module disable <key>" in the Developer Console. Both confirm before committing and are undoable, and disabling never deletes data.
