Text me when I'm offline — SMS fallback and reply-by-text
Turn on "Text me when I'm offline" in Messaging preferences and Turtini will text you a new message when it can't reach you any other way — a GroupMe-style fallback so you never miss a thread just because the app is closed.
How it works:
• The text fires only when you have no reachable app or browser notification — it's a fallback, not a duplicate. If a push can reach you, you get the push instead.
• Reply straight to the text and your reply lands back in the thread, exactly as if you'd typed it in the app. Everyone in the conversation sees it.
• Each thread gets a consistent sender number for you (a "proxy number"), so your replies always route to the right conversation. Different threads may share a number — Turtini uses the pairing of your phone and the number to keep them straight.
Consent and control:
• It's off by default. Turning it on is your express consent to receive texts at your profile phone number — add or update that number in Account -> Profile.
• Quiet hours still apply, so overnight texts are suppressed unless you've allowed a bypass.
• Reply STOP at any time to turn all texts off (HELP for help). A STOP is honored platform-wide, immediately.
• Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. See the SMS terms linked in the preferences panel.
This is conversational messaging, separate from marketing texts — it's gated on your being in the thread and having switched the fallback on, and STOP always wins.
