Messaging preferences — notifications, quiet hours, and digest
Open Messaging preferences from the gear icon in the Messages panel to control exactly what reaches you.
Notify me about:
• All messages — every new message in every thread.
• Mentions + direct — direct messages always; group threads only when you're @-mentioned.
• Mentions only — only when someone @-mentions you.
• Nothing — no notifications; messages still appear in your inbox.
Per-org overrides:
If you're in more than one org, set a different level per org (or leave it to inherit the global setting). Handy for staying heads-down in one org while muting another.
Quiet hours:
Set a daily window (say 22:00 to 07:00 in your timezone) that suppresses push notifications overnight. In-app notifications still arrive. You can let specific orgs or specific user groups — like an on-call rotation — bypass quiet hours so urgent pages still get through.
Email digest of unread:
Get a summary of unread messages every morning, on Monday mornings, or never. It's delivered to your local morning based on your timezone.
Admins also get an org broadcast composer and user-group management here, for sending an announcement to everyone or maintaining groups like "on-call".
