Using the Pre-Deployment Checklist
The Pre-Deployment Checklist is an interactive tool with 120+ checkboxes organized across eight phases. Use it during delivery to confirm every prerequisite is in place before advancing to the next phase.
How to use it:
1. Open the Checklist tab from the MAS 9 on OpenShift resource library
2. Work through phases in order — do not skip ahead
3. Click any checkbox to mark it complete; click again to unmark
4. The progress bar at the top of each phase shows how many items are done
5. The overall progress bar at the top of the page shows completion across all phases
6. Use "Reset all" to clear all checkboxes and start fresh
The eight phases:
• Phase 1: Infrastructure readiness — hardware, networking, DNS, load balancers
• Phase 2: Storage readiness — ONTAP health, SVM, LIFs, export policies
• Phase 3: OpenShift cluster — bootstrap, node health, operators, registry
• Phase 4: Trident installation — operator, orchestrator, backends, storage classes
• Phase 5: MAS prerequisites — SLS, DRO, Cert-Manager, CPFS
• Phase 6: MAS Core — operator subscription, suite instance, MongoDB, IAM
• Phase 7: Application deployment — per-application deployment in dependency order
• Phase 8: Go-live validation — end-to-end smoke tests, backup verification, handover
Checklist state is not saved between sessions — it is held in local component state only. Take a screenshot or export notes before closing if you need a record.
