Turtini

Use your Turtini mailbox in Apple Mail, Outlook, or your phone

Your Turtini mailbox works in any mail app. Each app signs in with its own password, created here — not your Turtini account password.

To set one up:
1. Open Mail (/mail) and go to the Mailboxes tab.
2. Press Set up next to the mailbox.
3. Name what it is for, like "Mail on iPhone", and press Create password.
4. Copy the password that appears and enter it in your mail app. Turtini keeps no copy, so this is the only time it can be shown. If you lose it, revoke it and create another.

The settings your mail app asks for:
- Username: your full email address
- Password: the one you just created
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.turtini.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.turtini.com, port 587, STARTTLS

Each device gets its own password, so if a phone is lost or an old laptop is retired, press Revoke next to that one. That device stops receiving and sending mail immediately, and every other device — plus webmail — keeps working.

Your Turtini account password is deliberately not accepted by mail apps. A mail app has to keep the password it signs in with, so using your account password would put it on every device you read mail on, and anyone who got it would have your whole account rather than one mailbox.
