Pet guests — registering pets and charging pet fees
Pet guests let you register the animals staying with a guest, apply your pet policy's fees, and post those fees to the reservation's folio like any other in-property charge.
Setting a pet policy:
Each property has a pet policy that defines the per-night pet fee, a one-time cleaning fee, the maximum number of pets, allowed species, and the waiver text a guest acknowledges. Set this once per property and every pet registration uses it.
Registering a pet:
1. Open the reservation and go to Guest Services → Pet Guests
2. Add the pet — name, species, breed, and weight
3. Record the vaccination expiry and note any special needs
4. Capture the waiver acknowledgement and, optionally, a photo (photos run through image moderation)
The pet is marked checked-in for the stay and checked-out when the guest departs.
Charging pet fees:
The per-night and cleaning fees from your policy post to the guest's folio as a room charge — so a pet fee flows onto the bill alongside the room, F&B, and everything else, and rolls into the reservation total automatically.
Have Wally do it:
Ask Wally to register a pet guest for a reservation and it fills in the fees from your property's pet policy, then offers a card to post it — you confirm before anything lands on the folio.
