Check-in and check-out

Checking a guest in and out updates the reservation status and room status automatically — no manual room status updates needed.

Checking in a guest:
1. Find the reservation in the Reservations tab (filter to "Upcoming" or search by name)
2. Click "Check In" on the reservation row
3. The reservation status changes to Checked In and the room status changes to Occupied

Checking out a guest:
1. Find the active reservation (filter to "Active")
2. Click "Check Out"
3. The reservation status changes to Checked Out and the room status changes to Dirty — flagging it for housekeeping

After checkout, the room appears in the Housekeeping tab under "Needs Cleaning" automatically.

Early check-in / late check-out:
These are handled by editing the reservation's check-in or check-out date and time fields. There's no system-level lock on the property's standard times — you have full flexibility.

Payment:
Mark a reservation's deposit as paid from the reservation edit form. Full payment tracking integrates with the Accounting module if enabled — each paid stay can be posted as a journal entry.
