Historical rates and demand heatmap
The Rates tab keeps a per-day record of ADR (Average Daily Rate) and occupancy going back as far as you've imported — the engine that powers the demand heatmap and YoY pace cards on the dashboard.
Importing history:
1. Lodging → Rates → Historical Rates section
2. Paste a CSV (date, ADR, occupancy, revenue)
3. Click Import — the system writes one historical rate row per day to lodgingHistoricalRates
Demand heatmap:
A 12-week forward grid where each cell is colour-coded by demand strength. The colour is computed from same-week-last-year occupancy + revenue. Dark green = high demand same time last year (raise rates); pale = low demand (consider promotional rates or LOS discounts).
Why YoY-anchored, not absolute:
A 60% occupancy week in January means something different than a 60% week in July. Comparing each week to the same week last year isolates the calendar effect from actual demand changes.
Building rate plans from history:
The Rate Plans section can auto-generate a seasonal rate plan from your historical data — pick a property and a year window, and it suggests breakpoints (e.g. high season Jun–Aug at +25% over base, shoulder Sep–Oct at +10%, low season Nov–Apr at base). Save and adjust manually before activating.
Pace cards:
The dashboard's Pace cards (this-month ADR vs same month last year, occupancy YoY, on-the-books revenue) won't appear until you have at least one historical month to compare against. Import last year's data to unlock them.
