Selling sponsor ad cards on a broadcast

Sponsor ad cards are small, semi-transparent cards that slide in over your live stream — a circle logo, the advertiser's name, an optional one-line pitch, and a "Sponsored" label — then slide back out on their own. Tapping a card sends the viewer to whatever page the advertiser wants. You sell them; Turtini keeps 1% of what you charge.

Where to manage them:

Open the broadcast's host console (/stage/broadcasts → your broadcast → Host) and scroll to "Sponsor ad cards." Build cards before you go live; fire them automatically or by hand once you're on air.

Building a card:

1. **+ Add sponsor** — a new card row appears.
2. **Advertiser** — the sponsor's name (shown on the card).
3. **Logo** — upload the sponsor's logo or pick one from your org's image library. Every logo is reviewed by the platform image-moderation pipeline before it can appear on air (you'll see "Logo in review" until it clears).
4. **Caption** (optional) — a short line like "20% off this week."
5. **Click-through link** — the URL the card opens when a viewer taps it.
6. **Trigger keywords** — comma-separated words that make the card appear (see below).
7. **On-screen seconds** — how long the card stays before sliding out (default 12).

The three ways a card appears:

- **Keywords** (the headline feature) — when you (the host) say one of a card's keywords out loud, that card slides in. Your browser transcribes your microphone with the built-in Web Speech API and matches whole words. Say "sunscreen" and the sunscreen sponsor's card pops up. Toggle "Auto keywords" on the on-air controls. Works best in Chrome; if your browser can't transcribe, the toggle is disabled and you use the buttons below instead.
- **Ad break** — rotate your cards automatically every 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Good for screen-shares and quiet stretches where nobody's talking.
- **Show now** — when you're live, every eligible card shows up as a chip under the on-air controls. Tap one to slide it in immediately.

Only one card is on screen at a time, and each card has a cooldown (default 120 seconds) so the same sponsor doesn't spam viewers.

Getting paid — and the 1%:

A card with a price won't show on air until it's paid. You have two ways to collect, both of which meter Turtini's 1%:

- **Request payment** — generates a branded payment link you send the advertiser. They pay by card on a Turtini-hosted page; the moment they pay, the card becomes eligible to show.
- **Record $… cash** — for deals you closed off-platform. Marks the card paid and meters the 1% into your monthly usage, same as a card payment.

Set the price to 0 for a **free house ad** (your own promo, a community partner, a public-service message) — those are eligible the moment they're enabled and moderation-approved.

What viewers see: the card slides in at the lower-left of the player on both your Turtini viewer page and any Builder Live Stream block embedding the broadcast. It's tappable and dismissible. Keywords and prices never leave your org — only the advertiser name, logo, caption, and link are ever sent to viewers.
