Turtini

What Turtini checks about a license, and what it does not

Worth being plain about, because the difference matters if you are relying on it.

**What happens**

A person at Turtini contacts the agency that issued your license, confirms it, and records which agency and what reference they checked. The record keeps their name and the date, separately from whoever filed it.

**What does not happen**

Turtini does not call a licensing agency's API. No universal one exists. Where a public registry does exist and disagrees with what you filed -- a revoked license, a number nobody has -- the filing is blocked until that is resolved. Where a registry agrees, that is information the reviewer reads; it is not the approval by itself.

**What it is not a statement about**

That your license covers what you intend to do with it, that you hold every license you need, or that you are compliant. Those are yours and your counsel's. What Turtini checks is narrow and attributable: that a specific license exists, is current, and belongs to you.

**Who holds the license**

You do. Turtini is the software vendor. The modules are software a licensed operator runs; the license, the obligations and the regulator's relationship are the operator's.
